Build the home that thinks
We are a small team of engineers building home intelligence — on-device AI, connected hardware and the platform that runs them. These are the people we need next.
Own the models at the heart of the platform: routine learning, occupancy prediction and decision confidence — running on-device, not in the cloud.
What you'll do
- Design and train prediction models for household routines and energy use
- Optimise inference for edge hardware (quantisation, distillation)
- Define the confidence framework that decides when the home acts autonomously
- Work with firmware and backend teams on the end-to-end data path
What we're looking for
- 4+ years building and shipping ML systems in production
- Strong Python and PyTorch; experience with on-device / edge inference
- Comfort working close to constrained hardware
- Bias for measurable outcomes over model novelty
Build the firmware for the X42 hub and sensor line — the code that has to run for years without being noticed.
What you'll do
- Develop firmware for ESP32-class hardware (C/C++, Zephyr or FreeRTOS)
- Implement Zigbee, BLE and Wi-Fi provisioning and communication
- Build the OTA update pipeline with safe rollback
- Drive power optimisation for battery-operated sensors
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of embedded development on shipped products
- Deep C/C++ and RTOS experience; comfort with lab equipment
- Experience with wireless stacks (Zigbee, BLE, 802.11)
- Care for reliability: watchdogs, brownouts, recovery paths
Build the on-device vision that lets the home understand presence and anomalies without streaming private video to anyone's cloud — including ours.
What you'll do
- Develop person/pet/vehicle detection for camera and doorbell products
- Run models efficiently on embedded NPUs
- Design privacy-preserving pipelines: on-device inference, event-only output
- Build evaluation harnesses for real household conditions
What we're looking for
- Solid CV fundamentals and production model deployment experience
- Experience with TFLite / ONNX Runtime / embedded accelerators
- Strong C++ or Rust for inference paths
- Genuine conviction about privacy-first architecture
Own the platform that everything else stands on: device APIs, the marketplace, accounts, payments and the admin that runs the company.
What you'll do
- Design and build APIs for device fleets, telemetry and control
- Scale the Django platform: PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery
- Harden payments, orders and account flows
- Keep the admin fast and dependable for daily operations
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of production Python/Django experience
- Strong PostgreSQL skills; caching and queueing in production
- Security-minded: authentication, authorisation, audit trails
- Experience running systems you were on call for
Run the infrastructure for a growing device fleet: deployments, observability, and the OTA system that updates hardware in people's homes.
What you'll do
- Own CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and environment parity
- Build monitoring and alerting for services and device fleets
- Operate the OTA distribution pipeline with staged rollouts
- Manage cost, backups and disaster recovery
What we're looking for
- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE roles
- Docker, Linux, Nginx and at least one major cloud in production
- Strong scripting (Python/Bash) and IaC experience
- Calm, methodical approach to incidents
Make 'private by design' true in practice — across firmware, platform and cloud — and help stand up our security services division.
What you'll do
- Threat-model and test our hardware, firmware and platform
- Implement secure boot, encrypted comms and key management
- Run internal VAPT and coordinate external audits
- Help define the methodology for our security services offering
What we're looking for
- Hands-on offensive and defensive security experience
- Familiarity with embedded/IoT attack surfaces
- OSCP/CRTP or equivalent practical skill
- Ability to write findings engineers actually fix
Define how an intelligent home should look and feel — hardware, app and web — with restraint as the design language.
What you'll do
- Own the design system across app, web and packaging
- Design flows where automation is legible and controllable
- Prototype and validate with real households
- Work daily with engineers from concept to ship
What we're looking for
- A portfolio showing shipped product work, ideally hardware + software
- Strong typography and interaction fundamentals
- Figma fluency; motion design a plus
- Opinionated about calm, minimal interfaces

If you're exceptional at what you do and believe homes should be intelligent, we want to hear from you anyway.
